Welcome to Rustic Golden Photography. I am so excited that you are considering us to capture your special moments. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. You should know who it is that you are choosing of course!

My name is Alyssa and I am the owner of Rustic Golden Photography and Rustic Golden Spice. I started this incredible journey in May of 2021. I had always been so fascinated with taking pictures, even ask my mum, you always saw me with some sort of camera in my face.

You may be wondering, was photography always what I wanted to do?

No. For as long as I could remember I was going to be a school teacher. I spent the entirety of my school years working towards going to university to become a teacher and I did. I began my bachelors degree at USQ directly after school. I quickly came to realise that it was a fascination and not a passion. Wanting to try something different with the chance to bring in some income, I got an apprenticeship as a hairdresser. I spent three years studying and building my skills on everything hair and style. In the end, this also wasn't my calling but ultimately helped me discover my true passion...Photography!

In my third year of hairdressing, I purchased a camera with the idea of capturing clients hair after their service. I enjoy the art of capturing beauty and branched out to small sessions to get a taste of being a photographer. After some time, I grew an unconditional love for capturing special moments between a family, a couple or just simply helping one person understand the beauty in which they hold.

Which bring us to today. I grow everyday and get to meet many beautiful people and capture special moments that they can cherish for years to come. There is no bigger joy than seeing the smiles on peoples faces once they see their vision come to life.

There are many photographers out there to choose from, however by choosing us you know that you are going to get a unique to you experience that is just like a great day out.
